UFO

Things are not always what they seem. This “UFO” photograph was taken from a restaurant patio in Idylwild, CA. I wanted to show the peak of Mt. San Jacinto in the background. There was a lot of woodpecker activity in the trees above the patio that afternoon. I counted six different woodpeckers flying between trunks and tapping the trunks for bugs.



I didn’t notice the bird when I took the photo. But it was quite obvious when I returned home and uploaded my photos. The saucer shaped object is a woodpecker blurring in a dive.
